Yolk and eggshell: are these the parameters that influence eggs purchasing?

We aimed to identify whether the physical characteristics of eggs such as yolk and eggshell color influence purchase decision through a consumer survey compound by 1567 individuals’ information answered from different regions, genders, income, education levels in Brazil. The opinion participants was evaluated free word associations, related preferences for eggs. Afterward, individuals were asked answer questions their regarding visual characteristics, especially color. A significant portion claims have based on color, not just price, even when we isolate gender. Even though are one most consumed foods animal origin world, there is still lack knowledge part consumers about factors that eggs, demonstrating wrong can affect consumption habits.
